Welcome to the FCPC Cursillo page!

Palo Duro Presbyterian Cursillo...
Some people describe it as 'Three days that last a lifetime!'

More than 70 FCPC members have participated in Presbyterian Cursillo weekends that are currently offered twice a year at Ceta Canyon Camp, south of Canyon, Texas.

The Presbyterian Cursillo is a lay-led ministry offering Presbyterians an opportunity to gather for the purpose of remembering who we are as God's people through Jesus Christ.
During the weekend participants and those serving on staff listen to a series of talks given by other Presbyterians on topics such as Christian action, study, daily living, etc. Essential to the weekend are worship, music, fellowship, and plenty of delicious snacks and surprises!
Cursillo weekends begin on Thursday evening with dinner and conclude on Sunday around 5 p.m. Total cost of the weekend is $140, of which FCPC will pay $50 per participant. Additional scholarships are avialable upon request.
Registration forms are available in the FCPC foyer or by calling the C.E. office.

For a taste of Cursillo, attend a monthly gathering called 'Ultreya.' At Ultreya, Presbyterians from Abilene and the surrounding area gather for a pot-luck dinner followed by singing, a brief talk by someone who has participated on a Cursillo weekend, and a time of prayer. Ultreya is usually held on the 4th Thursday evening of each month, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Location varies so contact the C.E. office for more details.
